REGULATION

Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in 2017 and the death of Awaab Ishak in 2020, the social housing sector has been under scrutiny by the government with particular focus on how landlords deliver their services and provide safe and quality homes. Following the 2018 white paper, the Social Housing Regulation Act received Royal Assent in July 2023.

The regulatory changes facing the social housing sector aims to improve the quality of landlord services by empowering tenants to make sure their landlord is accountable to the services which they provide. Registered Providers will be expected to measure their performance against a new set of consumer standards under the watchful eye of the Regulator of Social Housing.

Frontline Resolution supports registered providers in regulatory compliance and meeting the requirements of the Regulator through an evaluative and analytic approach.
